Moving Into the Next Chapter

Last week, we officially completed phase one of our facility in central Edmonton. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve submitted our Evidence Package to Health Canada as part of our cannabis license application. After a lot of hard work and planning, we’re beginning to see our company vision become a reality.

With keys in hand and hope in our hearts, we placed the final touches on the interior and exterior and prepared the evidence package details. The package includes a full video walkthrough of every inch of the facility’s first phase, to showcase the design in accordance with Health Canada’s guidelines. Now that the package has been submitted, the next step is a remote access review through the security cameras by the Health Canada licensing team. Our partners at Deloitte were instrumental in gathering the necessary components and putting the cannabis license application in the hands of Health Canada. Of course, we wouldn’t have made it to this milestone without our trusted partners at Edmonton-based architecture firm Next Architecture and construction services company Delnor who played a crucial role in bringing our vision to life.

While this journey has brought its ups and downs, we couldn’t think of a better moment to enter the Canadian legal market. In the second quarter of 2020, legal cannabis spending outpaced the black market for the first time. As the demand for legal cannabis products rises, so do the opportunities for us to manufacture those products for emerging and innovative brands.

As we await our license, we’re looking forward to carving out our own industry niche guided by our values and to move into our next chapter.
